Glacier Dome (Igloo) & Batting Facility (Ice House)

The Glacier facility is located at 276 State St., Struthers. The outside field has two covered dugouts, bleachers, 250' outfield fence that’s 6-foot high, PA sound system, grass infield, an automatic sprinkler system, 65’ or 70’ bases, 46’ or 50’ pitching mound and is used by players age 9 through 12. The all-weather dome has dimensions of 105’x120’ and is 40’ high. It has artificial turf, a full infield, long toss capabilities, air conditioned and is heated. The batting barn has dimensions of 50’x120’ with four hitting cages, a rubber floor, is air conditioned and heated. It has 17’ high ceilings, a vending area for seating, restrooms, lockers and weight room. The dome and batting barn were used last winter by the Youngstown State. University baseball team. The Glacier travel teams 13u thru 22u play their home games at Koch Fields in Austintown; Firestone Park in Columbiana; and at Pemberton-Donnell Park in Youngstown.  The Glaciers program goes from 9u thru 22u playing 50-60 games a season.
